10 STEPS ‘It’s not as much work as you’d think – my skin has transformed and looks glowing on a daily basis’
SARAH ECKERSLEY, 28, WILL MARRY PADDY BOYLE, 29, ON 2ND SEPTEMBER 2020. SHE SAYS:
‘I take my skincare very seriously. I noticed my irst wrinkle and signs of pigmentation two years ago, and since then I’ve introduced a 10-step skincare regime to stop any more signs of ageing. Although it sounds a little scary, it’s not as much work as you may think! I always start by cleansing my face with micellar water (H20 Micelle Solution is my fave! £10.50, Bioderma at boots. com). I then wash my face with Cleansing Gel (£36, Nimue at esseandco.com), then again with the Sonic Cleansing Brush (£79, clinique.co.uk). Toning is next with Glow Tonic (£18, Pixi at cultbeauty.co.uk) and I use a light face wash (Blanc Divin Purifying Foam, £30.50, Givenchy at feelunique.com) to remove any residue and dead skin cells from the skin brushing. Since adopting Hydrating Serum (£105, skin designlondon.com), my skin has transformed and looks glowing on a daily basis. Ater this, I moisturise (Hydraphase Intense Riche, £17, La Roche- Posay at boots.com), put on eye cream (Eye Booster Concentrate, £165, Dr Levy at cultbeauty.co.uk), and SPF (Color Gelcream SPF50, £17.50, Heliocare at efortless skin.com). Finally, a face mask (Hawaii Five Glow Tropical Hydrating Face Mask, £1, Anatomicals at harveynichols. com) gives my skin a boost and locks in all of the goodness from the above steps.’ TIME TAKEN 30 minutes.

9 STEPS ‘Without all these steps, my skin goes dull’
ALLY LEWIS, 26, WILL MARRY NICHOLAS VOSS, 28, ON 26TH AUGUST 2017. SHE SAYS: ‘I always double cleanse, in case I miss anything (Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser, £15.50, lizearle.com, and H20 Micelle Solution, £10.50, Bioderma at boots.com), then I tone (Multi-Action Hydrating Toner, £23, nars cosmetics.co.uk), and exfoliate (Glow Tonic, £18, Pixi at cult beauty.co.uk). Pixi Glow is life changing – it makes my skin noticeably smoother and more radiant. hen I moisturise (Lait-Crème Concentré, £20, Embryolisse at cultbeauty.co. uk), add serum (Hyaluronic Acid, £6, he Ordinary at asos.com), eye cream (The Illuminating Eye Gel, £100, La Mer at harrods.com), primer (Optimal Brightening Concentrate, £51, nars cosmetics.co.uk) and inally Rose Hip Oil (£51, aesop.com). Without all these steps, my skin goes dull quickly.’ TIME TAKEN 20 minutes.
VICTORIA SMITH, DIRECTOR OF ABSOLUTE AESTHETICS IN MARYLEBONE
‘Double cleansing is good practice to ensure all make-up is removed. It seems like Ally is applying too much oil or moisturiser, which will make the skin dull and lacklustre. I’d use a Vitamin C- enriched product. Professional-C Serum 10% (£46.80, Obagi at swedish face.co.uk) is pretty great – it’s rich in antioxidants and will give a brightening and bridal-perfect effect to skin.’ The expert.
8 STEPS ‘I’m prone to bad skin, so anything to prevent breakouts is a must’
ALICE ROPER, 28, WILL MARRY MATT GLEN, 34, ON 16TH SEPTEMBER 2017. SHE SAYS
‘My routine starts with Cleansing Facial Wipes (£3.25, Simple at boots.com), followed by Eye Make-up Remover (£17, clinique.co.uk). I’m prone to bad skin when I’m hormonal and, as I meet clients face-to-face, anything to prevent breakouts is a must. I then use Anti- Blemish Cleansing Solutions Foam (£18), and Anti-Blemish Solutions Clarifying Lotion (£18, both clinique.co.uk) before Pore Minimising Serum (£16, No7 at boots.com). hen back to Clinique for its Anti-Blemish Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel (£21) and All About Eyes (£26.50, both clinique.co.uk). I inish with Airbrush Away Pore Minimising Primer (£16, No7 at boots.com) – I have large pores, so I try to minimise them with diferent creams.’ TIME TAKEN 15 minutes.
‘Alice’s skin routine is far too complex for her and the mix of products she uses won’t help her with spots. It would be better if she were to start using a cleanser (facial wipes tend to block pores and increase the risk of developing spots as they can leave a residue on the skin then use another with salicylic acid during periods of breakouts. I’d also recommend an SPF50, to be applied every day. Heliocare (from £17.50, effortlessskin.com is a favourite of mine – it’s light and offers great coverage.’ The expert.
7 STEPS ‘Incredibly it only takes ive minutes’
LAURA KLEFFER, 32, WILL MARRY FEDERICO SIVIERO, 35, ON 10TH JUNE 2017. SHE SAYS
‘I’m always busy so I like to keep my routine as fast as possible. Yes, it’s seven steps, but, incredibly, it only takes me ive minutes as the products all sink into my skin fast. I start by cleansing with H2O Micelle Solution (£10.50, Bioderma at boots.com), I then use Effaclar Duo [+] (£15.50) and Targeted Breakout Corrector (£9.50, both La Roche-Posay at boots. com) for blemishes, Line- Reducing Concentrate (my new favourite product – it evens out my skintone, £49.50, kiehls.co.uk), Multi-Active Jour SPF15 (£42, clarins.co.uk), Superdefense Eye Cream, (£31, clinique.co.uk). And I inish with Midnight Recovery Eye (£25.50, kiehls.co.uk).’ TIME TAKEN 5 minutes.
The expert FATMA SHAHEEN, BRAND FOUNDER OF SKIN DESIGN LONDON
‘This is a good, not-too- complicated regime – preparation is key when you want perfect skin (12 weeks is a good amount of time to see results). She’s getting an excellent dose of Vitamin C, which is essential for skin health for an even bigger boost try Designer Balm (£90, skin designlondon.com) . It reduces lines, eczema and redness.’
6 STEPS ‘I always double cleanse – it’s important for me that my skin is squeaky clean
LIZZIE KERR, 28, WILL MARRY ROMAN VAN DEN BOSCH, 29, ON 7TH JULY 2018. SHE SAYS
‘I have scars and sun damage from previous spots so I try to counteract that and prevent future damage by taking very good care of my skin now. I always double cleanse (Micellar Water, £11, La Roche-Posay at boots.com and Miracle Cleanser, £38, Aurelia at spacenk.com) – it’s important that my skin is squeaky clean before starting my day. I don’t tone, but do use serums. CE Ferulic (from £87, Skinceuticals at facethefuture. co.uk) is my favourite – the coverage is great – and also Photography Fluid (£20, niod.com). I dab on Advanced Night Repair Eye (£40, Estée Lauder at selfridges.com), then moisturise (Hydra-Global Hydration Intense Anti-Age, £152, sisley-paris.com).’ TIME TAKEN 10 minutes.
JASMINA VICO, WHO OWNS A CLINIC IN CHELSEA
‘Pick an active cleanser with anti- inflammatory ingredients. Foamer 15 Exfoliant Foam (£36, Dermaceutic at derma caredirect.co.uk) will brighten sun-damaged skin. At night, use a retinol (Retinol 0.3 or 0.5, £40, Skinceuticals at facethefuture.co.uk) twice a week before the big day. Lizzie must also use SPF as skin will be sensitive afterwards.’
5 STEPS ‘I’m worried about wrinkles and do everything I can to prevent them’
ROSIE WILLIAMS, 27, WILL MARRY JIM CRATCHLEY, 31, IN SUMMER 2020. SHE SAYS
‘I make sure I clean my face using H2O Micelle Solution (£10.50, Bioderma at boots.com) on a simple cotton wool pad, then my Cleansing Brush (£125, clarisonic.co.uk). I always double cleanse, using a cleansing balm (Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm, £40, Elemis at debenhams.com), as this leaves my face feeling scrubbed and bright. I’m worried about getting wrinkles and want to make sure I do everything I can for my skin to prevent this, so I use a serum (White Objective Lightening Serum, £17, Bioderma at escentual.com) and a day cream (Moisturizing Cream, from £115, Créme de la Mer at johnlewis.com).’ TIME TAKEN 10 minutes.
DR RITA RAKUS, WHO OWNS A CLINIC IN KNIGHTSBRIDGE
‘Rosie’s skincare routine is very thorough, but I’d still recommend she starts to wear a SPF30 or 50 each day. Cellular Swiss UV Protection Veil SPF50 (£131, La Prairie at harrods. com) is lightweight and provides great coverage for make-up to sit on, leaving you looking radiant. It should be part of everyone’s daily skincare regime as sun damage is one of the biggest causes of skin ageing. I’d recommend using this product right away ahead of your wedding.
ANNABELLE SPRANKLEN, 29, WILL MARRY MATT MOORE, 29, ON SATURDAY 5TH AUGUST 2017. SHE SAYS
‘I am pretty OCD about my skincare and my mother encouraged me to get into a regime early on. I have been cleansing, toning and moisturising since I was 11. My regime has matured with better.
DR PHILLIP LEVY, WHO OWNS A CLINIC ON HARLEY STREET
‘You need to start your skincare regime early important to layer various products correctly – and is essential any oil is added as the final layer, after other products have fully penetrated. First cleanse second tone, third apply a serum and – after it’ penetrated – layer with a moisturiser. And yes oil should come after the moisturiser. I’d recommend Hydrating Nourishing Face Oil (£45, aromatherapy associates.com).’ 4 STEPS ‘My The expert beauty regime has matured with better products’ products. I cleanse and tone with Herbal-Extract Alcohol- Free (£34.50, Calendula at kiehls.co.uk). I now use a serum (Lumière Essentielle Serum, £55) and facial oil (The Revitalizing Oil, £32), then moisturise with Lumière Essentielle Illuminating Oil Gel-Cream, (£45, all darphin. co.uk). I started using facial oil a year ago, as I can get dry skin, but it doesn’t always work.’ TIME TAKEN 9 minutes.

‘I sometimes get breakouts and want to prevent them ahead of the big day’
ANNA GOLDTHORPE, 28, WILL MARRY BILLY MOSS, 28, ON SATURDAY 15TH JULY. SHE SAYS
‘My skincare routine starts with Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (£15.50, lizearle.com). I’ve noticed a real diference since using this, it helps remove all dirt and impurities from my skin and leaves it feeling really clean, yet still nourished. I then.
DR ANJALI MAHTO, OF THE CRANLEY CLINIC, HARLEY STREET
‘Cleanse & Polish is good for deep cleansing skin because the hot cloth method dislodges dead skin cells and removes grime, pollutants and stubborn make- up. Use a clean cloth to avoid contaminating the skin. To help you avoid last- minute breakouts and blemishes, apply Effaclar Duo[+] (£15.50, La Roche-Posay at boots.com) to the entire face after cleansing. It will help to refine skin texture, unclog pores and control shine (good for the wedding photos!). It might be worth incorporating a clay mask once a week, to draw out impurities. Active Charcoal Mask (£23, Origins at johnlewis.com) removes excess oil and exfoliates.’ The expert use Skinlongevity Vital Power Infusion (£45), followed by Bare Haven Essential Moisturizing Soft Cream (£30, both bareminerals.co.uk). I have seen a few changes in my skin, and sometimes get breakouts, so want to prevent them ahead of my wedding if at all possible. his is why I started using the BareMinerals Serum and, since then, have noticed a slight change.’ TIME TAKEN 6 minutes.
‘It requires such little efort, plus it doesn’t break the bank’
CAI LUNN, 26, WILL MARRY BEN COLES, 31, IN SUMMER 2018. SHE SAYS
‘For me, it’s all about speed! I have a very limited number of steps with my skincare due to the nature of my job, I’m a picture editor and I oten have to be on shoots very early. I use Cleansing Facial Wipes (£3.25, Simple at boots.com) as they’re very time efective and can even be used on the go. Ater that, I then use H20 Micelle Solution (£10.50, Bioderma at boots.com) to remove anything let on my skin. I don’t actually use a moisturiser as my skin isn’t too oily or dry. I only do two steps because it requires such little efort, plus it doesn’t break the bank!’ TIME TAKEN 3 minutes.
DR PHILLIP LEVY
‘I totally understand Cai – I, myself, am a fan of an efficient regime. Micellar water is a pretty good time-saving product as it claims to remove make-up, cleanse and moisturise in one step. The formula contains tiny oil molecules (micelles) in soft water, which are attracted to dirt, grime, and oil. In the lead-up to your big day, I would recommend investing in a high-tech, proven serum that will hydrate and give you a natural glow. Our award- winning Booster Serum (£280, Dr Phillip Levy at cult beauty.co.uk), at first might seem a bit pricey, but it costs less than £2 per day, i.e. the price of your morning coffee.’ The expert.
1 STEP ‘Cleansers and toners sting my eyes so I stay away from them’
LAUREN SHEPHERD, 28, WILL MARRY MICHAEL LOVELOCK, 28, ON 6TH SEPTEMBER, 2017. SHE SAYS
‘As a make-up artist and hairdresser, I spend lots of my time making sure everyone else looks and feels amazing, but when it comes to my skincare, I only use a Pep-Start Quick Cleansing Wipe (£14, clinique. co.uk) in the morning and evening. It comes down to time really! I ind that when I use cleansers and toners they tend to sting my eyes so I stay away from them.’ TIME TAKEN 1 minute.
DR RITA RAKUS
‘Lauren’s skincare regime is very basic. If she doesn’t have time to spend longer on her regime, then I’d recommend using Hydrating Cleansing Oil (£6.99, Simple at superdrug.com) instead as it’s good for those with sensitive skin. It will also help to get rid of dirt that wipes miss.’
