15 Minutes Beauty Routine

Yes! You have loads of time to put in some effort…

THE LOOK: Power pout.

THE ROUTINE: A statement lip equals confidence to go. Line your lips concentrating on your Cupid’s bow and fill with a hydrating matte lacquer in the same shade. Keep eyes understated but brows full with a brush-on tinted gel. Don’t match matte lips with matte skin, though. Instead swipe on radiance with a strobing/illuminating stick. Revive second-day hair with dry shampoo (it works best when applied and massaged into the scalp the night before, then brushed out in the morning), and pull hair back into a half-up, half-down style.

Luxury! Settle in for a leisurely dressing-table session and enjoy…

THE LOOK: Smoky and sultry.

THE ROUTINE: Pick a grey/brown palette and build up depth, keeping the darkest shade close to your lash lines. Add strip lashes, ditch blusher for bronzer, and finish with a nude lip. You may as well go all-out glam with your hair. Use volumising spray to add bounce and style hair into soft waves that frame your face.

Soft, understated and super-easy to do, this routine is designed to help you get up and go, go, go! The trick here is to stock up on smart multitasking products;

BB cream is your primer, coverage, and sun protection all in one, and the colour isn’t heavy so it won’t need any precision blending. A good lip/cheek tint will do the rest.

A slick of lipstick always makes you feel sassier; it’s also the zero-effort way to be ready in seconds. Strategically placed highlighter will make you look wide awake, even if you don’t feel it. Need an extra boost this morning? There’s nothing quicker than spritzing your favourite scent to pick you up and ensure you’re ready for anything the day throws at you.

You’ve just heaved yourself out of bed and have mere minutes to get out the door. Don’t panic – a hard-working primer and mascara are a time-stretched woman’s saviours. And if you tend to waste precious minutes rummaging in your make-up drawer, save time by stashing your staples in see-through bags. Genius!

You have the time to try out something more ‘wow’ than usual, but creating a smoky eye to suit both daytime and the evening can be tricky – ditching the black kohl for a softer brown tone makes it look work appropriate. Use a crayon to give you more application control and avoid those hard lines.
