Homemade Ayurveda Oil

• 1 Tablespoon of Neem oil

• 1 Tablespoon of Castor oil

• 4 Tablespoons of Sesame oil

• 2 Tablespoons of Sweet Almond oil

• 2 Tablespoons of Virgin Coconut oil

• 5 Tablespoons of Water

• 1 Tablespoon of powdered Amla berry seeds

• 1 Tablespoon of ground Fenugreek leaves

• 1 Tablespoon of ground Red Hibiscus leaves and petals

• 1 Tablespoon of ground and dried Bhangra leaves

• 1 Tablespoon of ground and dried Brahmi leaves

(You can substitutes the Brahmi leaves with 1 tablespoon of Indian Pennywort or Gotu Kola)

1. Mix all of the dried herbs together in a large heavy bottom pot

2. In a different pot, heat up the water to the point of boiling

3. Pour the boiling water over the dried herbs

4. Allow the herbs to soak in the water for two hours

5. Pour the oil over the hydrated herbs and mix together well

6. Turn the temperature to low and allow the oil to warm slowly

7. Allow to steep, un-covered, on the low heat for an additional 2 to 3 hours

8. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to cool completely

9. Strain the mixture so as to remove any solids

10. Place the mixture back over the low heat to remove any excess moisture for an additional 30 minutes

11. Once the moisture has evaporated after the 30 minutes, allow the oil to cool before pouring it into a plastic or glass container and storing in a cool, dry location
