Love was in the air at Valentine’s lunch at the gorgeous Aynhoe Park
ON A BRIGHT AND CHEERY DAY IN FEBRUARY, Jade Beer, Editor of Brides, and Sophie Taylor, owner and creative director of world-renowned stately home Aynhoe Park, hosted a delicious lunch at this very special 17th-century venue. Brides- and grooms-to-be, including Olivia Purvis and Bambi Bains, pulled up in Rolls-Royces under an archway of Bubblegum Balloons, and spent the afternoon experiencing the elegance and eccentricity of this country home with a cheeky modern twist, where guests can dine under disco balls while admiring the stunning Oxfordshire countryside.

Before the wedding breakfast, Amanda Harrington, founder of the mobile beauty services InParlour and InParlour Bridal, shared pearls of wisdom on personalised beauty regimes in the run-up to the big day. The table setting in the Orangery was styled by Sophie herself, and was a beautiful lesson in the art of ‘matchimalism’ (layering prints over each other).
Victoria FitzRoy’s intricate illustrations graced the menus and placemats, and Willow Crossley’s vibrant florals adorned the tables. For lunch, guests savoured a delicious pairing menu, served with vintage Champagnes from Perrier-Jouët. To finish, Aynhoe’s most delectable sweet treats were on show with cakes and biscuits from Natasha Collins of Nevie-Pie. Guests left with personalised bouquets after a supremely indulgent day – and we’re pretty sure Cupid would approve!
