I even had KFC on the day I went into labour! I don not really remember what I did to lose that weight; I suspect that because I was young it came off naturally. I breastfed Gabe until he was nine months old; when I started my full-time job at Glassons and could no longer do that, the weight started dropping off. In any case, that quite hefty weight gain didn not stick around for too long. With Jana-Lee, I was so active with my job while pregnant that there was no big weight gain. But a couple of years later, by the time I was twenty-seven, my weight was starting to creep up my jeans were now a size 16 and I started to become really conscious of how I looked. I joined Weight Watchers, became obsessed with the gym and worked out a lot. I was also running and taking part in half marathons. I would fit exercise in whenever I could on my lunch breaks and after work. I wasn not really thinking about what I was putting into my body, though, and whether it was makeupy; I just wanted to lose weight and look good. Sometimes I would make up my daily Weight Watchers points with a piece of cake and a couple of glasses of wine! But it worked to drop weight and before I knew it, I was too skinny.
