Useful on irritated, damaged skin. Choose soothing reparative herbs.
1 large handful fresh herbs (some 1 oz. of liquid (water, All/Damaged yogurt or mi1) 2 tablespoons cornstarch good choices are violet, comfrey, plantain and calendula; see Botani-cals section in About Ingredients)
Note: Comfrey leaves may leave the skin feeling tingling and slightly irritated. This sensation only last a few minutes, so don’t be alarmed.
Chop herbs and place in food processor (preferred) or blender and process with water, yogurt or mi1, pouring liquid in a little at a time until a thick paste results. Add the cornstarch and continue to blend. If the herbal paste is too loose and won’t adhere to your face, sprinkle in small amounts of cornstarch to thicken.
Apply the mask thickly to the face and relax and recline to keep it from dripping off. You can also place gauze or thin cloth over the mask to keep it in place. Leave on for 20 minutes or longer and then rinse off. This mask will not dry. Makes enough for 1 thick mask application.
