A light, nourishing, healing lip balm for any time of year.
3 oz. expeller canola pressed oil 2 oz. beeswax
1 oz. calendula-infused olive oil 56 drops anise, fennel, mint, grape(preferred) or plain olive oil fruit or other essential oil
1 oz. wheat germ oil
Follow Directions for Salves and Balms. When pouring the melted beeswax-and-oil combination into containers, add 2 drops of essential oil per 1/2 oz. lip balm, and place lid immediately on the container to prevent the evaporation of the essential oils. Note: Vi-oz. lip balm containers are available by mail order (see Resources). Makes 7 oz. of lip balm or enough to fill twenty-eight Vi-oz. containers if you want to make gifts.
Note: To make calendula-infused olive oil, see Luscious Lotion p. 29.
