Celery And Apple Flan Recipe

Cooking Time: 20-25 minutes.

You will need for 4 servings: 1 can celery hearts 2-3 rashers bacon salt and pepper 1 large cooking apple

1 7-in. Baked flan case (87)

1 teaspoon cornflour.

2 eggs.

1 tablespoon grated cheese.

1 Drain the celery well. Chop and put into the baked flan case. Add a little salt and pepper.

2 Peel, core and chop the apple and sprinkle on top of the celery.

3 Cut the bacon into strips and put into the flan case.

4 Mix the cornflour smoothly with the beaten eggs, season and pour on top.

5 Sprinkle with the cheese and bake about 20 minutes in a moderately hot oven (375°F -Gas Mark 5).

Mushroom and cheese flan.

Cooking Time: about 20 minutes.

1 small onion, peeled and chopped.

Mushrooms, sliced.

2 oz. Butter.

1 pint basic white.

3 oz. Grated cheese 1 tablespoon chopped parsley 1 8-in. Baked pastry case (87) 2-3 tomatoes, peeled and sliced.

1 Fry the onion and mushrooms in the butter.

2 Make the sauce, add the cheese, parsley and onion and mushroom mixture. Correct the seasoning.

3 Pour into the pastry case.

4 Arrange slices of tomato round edge, bake in a moderate oven (350°F – Gas Mark 4).
