Chinese Staircase Knotted Headband Hairstyle for Medium Long Hair Tutorial

Hey guys, in the previous tutorial I showed you how to do the Chinese staircase stitch ponytail and in this post. I’m going to use a similar technique to create the Chinese staircase knotted headbands. I’m loving this hairstyle. Because if unique and is definitely different than your typical braids. So let’s begin first off. I’m going to spray my hair with some trust me heat tamer spray this will actually prevent some of the flyaways and it will also add some weight to your hair you can also use water, if you want to grab a chunk of hair at the top of your head this is going to be the base of your knot pick up some hair near the front of your face and like the last post, if you need to use some gel to tame down the flyaways.

So now we’re going to make a right to left knot you want to place the strand of hair over the base strand and just bring it over to the other side and loop it through now instead of adding hair from the base strand this time you’re going to pick up some hair under the front of your face below the first one and incorporate it with the right strands use gel to reduce flyaways then you want to do the exact same thing. So take that strand of hair cross it over the base strand and make a right to left knot after you pull the strand through slide it up and there you have it. So one more time pick up some hair into the front of your face add it to the right strand gel it down, if you need to then you want to take the strand cross it over the base strand and knot it through, if you have a long hair like.

I do continue to do this until you reach the bottom of your ear. But, if you have shorter hair what you can do is start the not higher on your head maybe closer to your bangs and then you can end it right above your ears with an elastic band after you reach the bottom of your ear continue the Chinese staircase not without picking up or adding hair to end the not simply tie it off with an elastic band now what you can do is bobby pin this to the side of your head like what I did over here or you can do the exact same thing on the other side and combine the two knots together at the back with an elastic band feel free to accessorize your hairstyle hair. I’m using a flowery clip alright. So here’s the completed look of the Chinese staircase knotted headband this hairstyle will definitely get people asking you how it’s done anyways I hope you guys give this a try and thanks so much for reading bye.
