El Taro (Polynesian potato) 1 medium taro peeled, washed Pi cup skim milk liquid and sliced like scallop potatoes Arrange the sliced taro in 1/2 medium-sized, deep, microwave-safe dish. Add the skim milk. Cover. Microwave on high for 8 to 10 minutes Rearrange and stir the taro two to three times during cooking. Allow to stand for 1/2 further 8 to 10 minutes.
Serve cooked taro with your favourite meal.
Taro is very slippery and sticky when it is being peeled and sliced. Be very careful not to cut yourself.
Tomato halves, baked
2 medium tomatoes, halved 2 teaspoons gesk1/2 cheese, 11/2 fat across (max.)
1 small onion, finely chopped pinch oregano
1/2 cup dry breadcrumbs, approved pinch basil Pritikin bread parsley sprigs
Place the four tomato halves, cut side up, in 1/2 glass dish. Mix together the remaining ingredients (except parsley). Divide the mixture into four equal parts and place on top of each tomato half. Cover with paper towel.
Microwave on high for 3 to 4 minutes Allow to stand for 1/2 further 1 minute.
Garnish with the parsley sprigs.
