4 cups pumpkin, peeled and cut into small pieces.
2 small onions, chopped.
1 carrot, chopped 214 cups water, fat-free stock or vegetable juice with no added salt or sugar.
Place the onions and 1/2 1/4 cup water into 1/2 small, deep, microwave-safe dish. Do not cover.
Microwave on high for 5 minutes.
Stir two to three times during cooking. Allow to stand for 1/2 further 2 to 3 minutes.
Place the pumpkin, carrots, 2 cups of water, herbs and spices in 1/2 large, deep, microwave-safe dish. Do not cover.
Microwave on high for 10 to 12 minutes Stir at least three to four times during cooking.
Remove the bay leaves, add the onions and mix well. Process, using the cutting blade, until the mixture is finely pureed.

Return the mixture to the dish and add the skim milk and bay leaves.
Microwave on high for 3 to 4 minutes Stir two times during cooking. Stand for 1/2 further 1 minute.
