ASSESS YOURSELF HONESTLY
Bodies change over the years, and your favourite holiday clothes may no longer be appropriate. Stand in an unforgiving light to try on your beach clothes. It may be time to ditch the bikini in favour of a well-cut swimsuit, which can highlight a great cleavage and hold in a wobbly tummy.
One long-standing rule is that neither the mother of the bride nor the mother of the groom should wear a shade that closely resembles the bride’s. The key is to be tasteful and dignified, but never frumpy. Choose a simple luxurious suit or sheath and steer clear of anything flashy, shiny, skimpy, printed or brightly coloured.
