Drink Recipes With Coconut Rum

One A.M. Punch

You will need for 14 persons: sliced rind 2 fresh 1 cup tea lemons 1 bottle Calvados (apple

2 tablespoons sugar brandy) or sugar syrup grated nutmeg

2 pints milk

1 Combine the sliced lemon rind, sugar and milk in a pan and bring to the boil.

2 Add the tea and Calvados and let simmer for 10 minutes.

3 Spoon into mugs.

4 Sprinkle the top with grated nutmeg and serve.

Egg Nogs

Egg nogs are mostly served at Christmas and the New Year. They are very rich but delicious, served warm or cold. It is wiser to make small amounts each time, for one or two glasses go a long way.

Basic Egg Nog

You will need for 10-12 persons:

6 fresh eggs 1 pint thick cream

6 tablespoons sugar 3 tablespoons peach

1 pint milk brandy

1 bottle whisky grated nutmeg

1 pint dark rum

You will need for 10-12 persons:

4 eggs 1 bottle light rum

1 tablespoon sugar or 1 tablespoon grated sugar syrup nutmeg

1 bottle brandy 1 pint boiling water

1 Separate the eggs.

2 Beat the yolks until smooth.

3 Whip the whites until stiff.

4 Fold the egg yolks into the stiff egg white.

5 Add the sugar and mix gently.

6 Pour the mixture in a warmed punch bowl.

7 Add the brandy and rum.

8 Sprinkle the nutmeg over and stir gently.

9 Add the boiling water, stir and serve in mugs.
