More and more destination beauty spas are appreciating and catering to the desires of couples and families to experience the beauty spa together. Destination beauty spas have also arisen to cater to many types of special tastes and interests that guests may have, beyond the core services one expects to find at any beauty spa. For instance, adventure beauty spas provide activities organized around outdoor challenges, such as rafting, mountain climbing, sky diving, and other sports, including team sports activities. These may well have an educational theme as well, or even a spiritual component, consistent with the beauty spa’s approach to wholeness and wellness. The staff are trained and experienced in providing adventure activities, safely and in tempo with the beauty spa’s other offerings. The expense of visiting a destination beauty spa can include a wide range of costs and levels of luxury, and some can be very luxurious indeed. Conde Nast surveys its readers annually on a variety of travel-related topics, and has published a list of world-class beauty spas. Spas are included on the list based on the quality of service and luxury that has distinguished them from other destinations, in the minds of guests. The survey of the top 25 beauty spas in the world, according to Conde Nast readers, can be found at http://www.beauty spastay.
