Sun: If you live in a warm climate (or spend time in one), be careful not to get too much sun. A leathery appearance to the face is aging and never attractive. If you like a tanned look, learn to use bronzing powder instead. (See chapter 14.) Whenever you are outside, be sure to wear sunblock on chest and hands, too.
Blending: Be extra careful to blend foundation up into your hairline and down over your jawbone. Find the sunniest spot in your home to doublecheck your makeup; using a hand mirror, make sure your makeup is well blended. Wear your glasses when applying makeup. Make a point of checking that your foundation is a perfect match to your skin tone every six months or so. The most careful blending in the world will not fix the wrong color foundation.
