Foot Oils, Creams and Balms Homemade

Oils, balms and creams can the offer the protection and nourishment our skin needs as we age. The formulas offered here are specially formulated for the feet to soften and soothe the skin while offering added benefits such as deodorization and warmth. They are especially good to apply after a soak or bath. Massaging the feet with one of these emollients can be extremely beneficial for improving circulation, and a wonderful gift for an elderly friend or relative. Use the following formulas to enhance the therapeutic effects of massage.

Relax and Rejuvenate Foot Oil /Dry

A soothing and nourishing oil for tired, dry and achy feet. This oil mildly deodorizes the feet.

2 oz. chamomile-infused olive oil 10 drops lavender essential oil

(preferred)or plain olive oil 5 drops chamomile essential oil

10 drops rosemary essential oil

Pour carrier oil into small-mouth glass bottle with a lid, leaving Vs inch space at the top, add your essential oils, cap and shake before use. Apply 1-2 teaspoons per foot treatment. For best moisturizing effect, apply to clean and slightly moist feet. Makes 2 oz.

Variation: For a more antifungal effect replace the chamomile-infused olive oil with black walnut-infused olive oil (see Antifungal Healing Oil 113) and add 10 drops of tea tree essential oil.
