“The diffuser is the every-style tool that can be used at home, so you can rock a pro blowdry wherever you are.” Dial up the texture “Leave thick hair to dry naturally, then smooth it out with a round brush and controlled heat,” says Larry. “If you have fine hair, product is your very best friend! Give your roots volume by applying thickening lotion when it’s wet. For texture, create the shape 2cm from the roots and leave the ends straight.”

Love those curls Blessed with natural curls? “Prep with a leave-in conditioner to encourage the texture, protect it from heat damage, smooth frizz and define the shape,” says Larry. “Set the diffuser on low heat and dry your hair slowly with minimal touching, allowing the dryer to do its work. Avoid towel drying.” Add extra volume “To maintain volume, switch your colour. If you go up or down a few shades, the dye will instantly add fullness. As a rule, solid hues make hair look thicker, while ombré tones make thick hair look less heavy. Alternatively, enhance your existing colour by curling it in sections, then contouring with a waving tool.”
