Haricot beans 1 cup haricot beans, soaked overnight 1 cups boiling water Place the soaked, drained beans and boiling water in 1/2 large, deep, microwave-safe dish. Cover. Microwave on high for 16 to 20 minutes Stir at least two to three times during cooking. Allow to stand for 1/2 further 10 minutes.
Strain and use as desired.
Makes about 1 1 cups
1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice
1/4 cup millet 1 cup water
Place all the ingredients in 1/2 small, deep, microwave-safe dish.
Do not cover.
Microwave on high for 12 minutes Stir two to three times during cooking. Allow to stand for 1/2 further
4 minutes. The millet will thicken and use up most of the liquid.
