Homemade Body Oils

A festive, spicy, fruity blend for pleasing the senses. I made this blend up as a gift for a friend who did not like floral smells.

4 oz. Basic Body Oil Blend 20 drops anise essential oil

15 drops lemongrass essential oil 5 drops patchouli essential oil

20 drops tangerine essential oil 15 drops sweet basil essential oil

5 drops bay essential oil

Pour Basic Body Oil Blend or carrier oil of choice into a jar and add the essential oils, drop by drop. Cap jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake well. The oil is ready to use. Makes 4 oz.

Rosemary Basil and Peppermint Wake-Up Oil All

A stimulating, refreshing blend for invigorating circulation and waking up. This essential oil blend can be used as a smelling blend to wake up the brain during long nights of work or study. To use simply inhale the odor of the blend straight out of the bottle or place some oil on a tissue and keep near nose or you can apply some oil directly under your nose but be sure it is not too strong for you.

4 oz. Basic Body Oil Blend (preferred) 25 drops basil essential oil

or other carrier oil of choice 15 drops peppermint essential oil

35 drops rosemary essential oil

Pour Basic Body Oil Blend or carrier oil of choice into a jar and add the essential oils, drop by drop. Cap jar with a tight-fitting lid and shake well. The oil is ready to use. Makes 4 oz. Varia- tion follows:

Rosemary & Lavender Blend

For a more relaxing yet still rejuvenating body oil omit the peppermint and basil essential oils and add 30 drops of lavender essential oil.
