Homemade Breath Freshener

This formula is very concentrated. Essential oils are diluted in a honey base and only 1-2 drops are needed to deodorize the mouth.

1/2 teaspoon sage essential oil 1 teaspoon peppermint essential oil

1/2 teaspoon tea tree essential oil 1 tablespoon plus 1/2 teaspoons honey

Combine ingredients in a small vessel and then pour into a 1-oz. bottle (preferably a small squeeze dropper bottle, like what eyedrops come in) and cap. A funnel may be necessary to get ingredients inside the very small-mouth bottles. You may also need to warm the honey in a hot-water bath if it is too thick to pour. To use breath freshener, place 1-2 drops in mouth as needed. Makes 1 oz., enough for 250 or more applications.

Note: If the honey is too thick to come out of the small opening of the squeeze bottle, enlarge the hole.

Variation: Replace honey with glycerin in the above formula and shake before each use, as the glycerin and essential oils tend to separate.
