This simple mouthwash is meant to be used as it is made. You can add more essential oil drops to strengthen the deodorizing effect, but watch for irritating effects from too much essential oil.
2 oz. water 1 drop peppermint essential oil
1 drop tea tree oil 1/2 teaspoon baking soda or salt
Pour water into a cup, add the salt or baking soda, drop in the essential oils and stir well. It is ready to use. Store in a tightly sealed jar to keep the essential oils from dissipating and use up within 1-2 days. Makes 2 oz.
Variation: The peppermint in the previous formula can be replaced by cinnamon, fennel, anise, spearmint, grapefruit or other essential oil of choice.
