This led him to footage of me fighting and people yelling out my name. From there he would been able to track down the real me. The guy gave me a mobile number and email address for the woman, and I was able to find her online. A friend of mine got in touch with her and, to her credit, she replied and seemed genuinely remorseful, explaining that she was having therapy for anxiety and depression. I guess she had got herself into a situation that had quickly got away on her. I knew that she had not set out to intentionally upset me. The whole experience was a bit of a wake-up call for me. Luckily, it didn not affect my mental state too much, but I was so reliant on social media for my business, and I lost a lot of confidence in that approach it definitely gave me cause to reconsider what I was sharing. Was I putting my family and husband at risk? I was relieved that at least no photos of my family members had ever been used by the woman. I completely changed the privacy settings on all of my social media accounts, got rid of my public Snapchat account, where a lot of the material had been taken from, and set my personal, non-work profiles to the highest security setting.
