A sweet-smelling body powder to keep dry and deodorized.
1 cup clay 1/2 cup slippery elm powder
1/2 cup baking soda 60 drops lavender essential oil
1/2 cup arrowroot powder 30 drops rose geranium essential oil
1/2 cup freshly dried herbs (lavender, rose blossoms and thyme leaf combined)
Powder herbs, except the slippery elm, in a coffee grinder used exclusively for herbs and seeds. Sift herbs through a fine-mesh strainer over a bowl and regrind the coarser particles as needed. It is important to get the herbs as fine as possible so the powder feels soft and si1y against the skin. Place all ingredients except the essential oils into a jar, mix the powders thoroughly and add the essential oils while stirring them in. Cap and shake jar. Makes about 2xh cups.
