IN LESS THAN TWO MONTHS, MICHELLE KEEGAN WILL BE HEADING TO SOUTH AFRICA to film army drama Our Girl. So last week, before she is separated from hubby Mark Wright for five long months, she made sure they got some muchneeded quality time together on a romantic trip to Dubai. The couple returned to their favourite holiday destination – where Mark proposed in September 2017 and where they spent their honeymoon – and couldn’t resist cuddling up for a series of adorable photos. Michelle, 28, appeared to be feeling particularly nostalgic and emotional as she shared a glamorous snap of herself in a white floaty dress walking along a pier, with the Dubai skyline in the background. She captioned it, “A place full of memories…One and Only.”* She followed it with a photo of Mark, also 28, whose hair flopped in his face as he cuddled his wife.

She wrote, “And now the reason behind all the memories One and Only.” Fans commented, “You two are the cutest”, and “serious goals”. Upon their return, Mark – who underwent an op on his foot last week – took to social media to post a view of the sea at sunset. He wrote, “From this to rain in 24 hours, take me back!! Cocktails on the jetty in dubai to driving home with rain hitting the windscreen.
It really is ‘the one & only’.” Despite their loved-up posts, there’s no doubt the trip would have been bittersweet for the besotted pair, who have already expressed their anxiety about being separated for so long. Although Michelle previously revealed she’ll keep in touch with Mark via Skype and WhatsApp while she’s away, and said, “We’ll speak every day and he’ll fly over to visit me”, it’s clear she’s feeling apprehensive. Last month, she admitted, “I can’t see myself living abroad.
I’m a home bird. I like my home comforts and always want my family and friends around me.” She also reflected on her favourite memories from the past year, telling us her highlights included the wedding, the hen do and moving to Essex. She said, “It’s been nice to settle in there, getting used to married life.” But that’s all going to change when she jets off to South Africa in January where she’ll be filming through until May. Fortunately, before her departure, Michelle and Mark will be going up north to spend Christmas at her mum’s. The excited star told us, “I can’t wait.” We don’t doubt it for a minute!
