I loved working for a thriving New Zealand-owned business, and being in a role that saw me interacting so closely with all kinds of Kiwi women both staff and customers taught me so much. My job saw me commuting again, from Wellington to Auckland during the week. It was a typical corporate life, and outwardly I probably looked very successful. I had been getting promotions and climbing the career ladder throughout my twenties what many women, especially in that decade, dream of. But I wasn not looking after myself with all the travel I was doing I seemed to spend half my life in the Koru Lounge drinking and eating on the run, and the time away from Jason and the kids wasn not doing my family life any good. There was also a fair amount of pressure at work during the Global Financial Crisis retail was hit hard. Jason and I continued to dabble in the property game, and we were making good money here and there and travelling a fair bit. I was eating and drinking what I wanted and having fun I would had my kids and my late twenties were my time to party! LIFE STAGES MY BODY & MIND Over the years, my body shape and my body image has been a bit all over the place! My perception of my body, and the shape it is in physically, has really reflected what has been going on in my life at different times. When I was pregnant with Gabe, I gained a lot of weight, and at my heaviest weighed nearly 100kg. I definitely embraced the ‘eating for two’ philosophy, and ate a lot of junk.
