Men of the Year Colorful moments reflected from 2019

It’s been quite the year in the hunk stakes – here are our top picks…

2019’s The Legend of Tarzan was not only an action-packed remake of the Disney classic, but also an enticing one hour and 50 minutes of a mostly topless, impossibly ripped Alexander. The 40-yearold Swede hit stardom in vampire drama True Blood and, this year, is set to play a WWII British colonel in The Aftermath. We do love a man in uniform!

We’ve had the pleasure of watching (read: staring at) him on our screens on hit shows like Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and The Good Wife, but now that he’s starring opposite local gal Pearl Thusi in crime-drama Quantico, we feel it’s fair to say we’re a little besotted…

Since welcoming baby number two, Amada Lee, ‘the Gos’ has proved himself to be a doting dad. We were a bit doubtful about his parenting skills after the release of The Nice Guys where he played a gun-toting detective in ’70s L.A. (who lets his daughter tag along). Who are we kidding? He can do no wrong – and we can’t wait for his next big role.

Last year the British heartthrob starred in Jojo Moyes’ tear-jerker Me Before You, but while his star has steadily continued to rise, the 30 year old has managed to keep his private life with his wife, actress Laura Haddock, and their wraps. But you can check out for a glimpse at the other love in his life – his (admittedly gorgeous) cockapoo Rosie!

We’ll admit that the 55-year-old charmer lost a little of his sex appeal when he swapped his usually dapper look for a Roman costume in the Coen brothers’ comedy, Hail, Caesar! Lucky for us he suited back up for Money Monster, reminding the world that he’s still only getting better with age…

We couldn’t have picked a better person to voice The Jungle Book’s villain Shere Khan and Fluke, the unassuming sea lion in Finding Dory – his versatility (and looks!) make him one of our top favourite screen stars. So you will understand our excitement to learn he’s set to star in 2017. Hollywood clearly knows when it’s got a good thing…

After catching a glimpse of Ryan as the dark-humoured superhero Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the public demanded to see more and the character got a blockbuster of his own. When he’s not showing off his physique in his superhero gear, he’s playing devoted husband to Blake Lively and doting dad to their daughters. He’s hot, hilarious and an all-round nice guy. Swoon!

He’s pegged to take the Bond baton from Daniel Craig – he has the brawn and the charm, so we’re backing his bod… sorry, bid, to be the next 007. In the meantime, check out @tomhardy holdingdogs on Instagram – we can’t get enough of it!

Initially known for his work on Saturday Night Live, Jason’s acting career has soared with memorable roles in Horrible Bosses and Mother’s Day. In real life, Jason is in a relationship with Olivia Wilde and they recently had their second child, a daughter named Daisy. Jason also has three movies lined up for release in 2017, so he certainly has his hands full. We’ll have more of that, thanks!

Game of Thrones hottie Kit Harington may (or may not?) have seen his character’s untimely death, but rumour has it we’ll be seeing him again called The Death and Life of John F. Donovan – but only in 2018. Kit’s always had that sad puppy-dog look down, and we love it.
