KEEP NOTE OF YOUR FIVE SENSES
Practise a daily mental workout to avoid sluggish thinking and memory loss; mental decline with old age is not inevitable if the brain remains busy. Make up your own exercises to strengthen all five senses -sight, sound, smell, taste and touch – and keep a record to note down week-by-week enhancements of each.
USE IT OR LOSE IT
Keep challenging yourself mentally to learn a new skill, take up a new hobby or read more books. Research has shown that brain cells need to be exercised in the same way that the physical body does to keep fit and healthy.
