I am only twenty-six, so I don't really have lip lines.

The idea is to create a matte surface on which your gloss can adhere that way it will not travel off your lips. There are two ways to accomplish this. First, you can first apply a matte lipstick on your lips (if you want a natural look, find a lipstick that matches the exact color of your lip) and then layer gloss on top. Or, second, use a soft lip pencil to fill in the entire lip (again, choose a natural shade) before applying gloss.

My good intentions were hijacked by events, however – as were everyone else’s – and I found myself being sick in an alley off Union Street at two in the morning, before starting to stagger back to the hostel.
