Quick Orange Sauce Recipe
Cooking Time: 5 minutes You will need:
1 packet white sauce 1 lemon
1 pint milk 1 dessertspoon red
1 orange wine
1 Make up white sauce according to the directions on the package but use only pint milk.
2 Add juice of 1 orange and 1 lemon and 1 dessertspoon red wine.
3 Add finely shredded peel of 1 orange.
4 Correct seasoning as required and serve with duck and pork.
Syrup sauce
Cooking Time: 5 minutes You will need:
2 tablespoons treacle 1 dessertspoon lemon
Or syrup juice
1 pint water
1 Boil the syrup, water and lemon juice for 5 minutes.
2 Strain and serve.
Caramel sauce
Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes You will need:
4 rounded tablespoons 2 oz. luxury margarine
Soft brown sugar 4 tablespoons water
4 level tablespoons golden syrup
1 Place the sugar and syrup in a pan. Heat and stir until dissolved.
2 Bring to the boil and simmer for 2 minutes. Allow to cool.
3 Add margarine and water.
4 Return to the heat and boil for 2 minutes.
5 Allow to cool again and then serve with ice cream.
