Combines the cleansing and deodorizing effects of salt, baking soda and essential oils.
1 oz. sea salt 5 drops sage essential oil
1 oz. baking soda 10 drops peppermint essential oil
10 drops tea tree essential oil
Mix salt and baking soda in a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid and add essential oils drop by drop, stirring thoroughly after each addition. To use, sprinkle powder lightly onto moistened toothbrush. Makes 2 oz., enough for 50-60 brushings.
Variation: Replace the peppermint essential oil with cassia cinnamon or fennel essential oils.

The bonus of having greenery inside is that plants also help to improve the air quality.
