But if you find that you are drinking more during the week or when you’re by yourself, using it as a crutch in social situations or drinking when you’re feeling down, then it might be a good time to have a break from alcohol. Perhaps the biggest help, though, when having a break from alcohol whether you’re doing it for a week, a month, six months or forever is to own your goal and take pride in what you’re doing.
