Stretching Exercises

Stretching Upward Lie flat on the back and relax. Keep arms close to body. Then raise both arms slowly over the head and stretchâ” stretchâ”stretch. Return arms to side and repeat all over again.

Stretching Sideways (Upper Tart of Body)

Lie flat on the back and relax. Bend upper part of trunk slowly to right side, then to left side. Return to normal position, rest, and repeat.

Stretching Sideways (Lower Trunk)

Assume position as before. Bend lower part of trunk slowly first to right side, then to left side. Return to straight position, rest, and repeat.

Stretching Sideways (Whole Trunk)

Assume position as before. Keep arms close to body. Raise arms upward, then bend body to left, and then right, and then return to normal position.

The Cradle Exercise Raise both legs upward. Then as the legs are lowered, raise upper part of body, rocking cradle fashion.
