Welcome back match-and-match. Motifs and elements of a heavily graphic partition multiply onto upholstery and side panels, for a perfectly balanced scene.

On the second morning we saw a young European girl watching us from the road as we walked along the sea edge, picking up shells and drift. She came down to see us and we stopped and chatted and found out that she lived here with her parents. She said there was nothing to do and she was bored stiff. She was English and about 15. She walked with us and we all plodded along the sand for an hour, before turning back and retracing our steps. During the walk, we told seafaring tales of derring-do to impress her: she was attracted to Jimmy. She ignored me. When we arrived back opposite the hotel, a huge, fierce English woman with a red face came pounding across the sands towards us, screeching. She grabbed hold of the girl by the arm then told us our behaviour was disgusting and we should be ashamed of ourselves for trying to entice away an innocent girl. The girl looked cowered as she was dragged away.
