Brides has known Miss Bush for many years, but this free-spirited wedding boutique always finds new ways to wow us.
Miss Bush has a special place in Brides’ 60-year history – it won the Editor’s Gold Award at our frst-ever Brides Te Show in 2013. Despite being one of the UK’s longest-established bridal stores, the Surrey boutique has a fresh approach that we love. (Its independent spirit is refected in the irreverent choice of name – the original ‘Miss Bush’ was a local good-time girl and the subject of much scandal in the ’50s.) Miss Bush has featured in the pages in Brides since the boutique’s launch in 1988, and the words of then Brides Editor Sandra Boler – “A wedding dress should look great from a distance, but invite closer inspection” – are still quoted in-store. Brides was present at the opening of Miss Bush’s new location at Te Old Chapel, a converted church in Ripley.
