Six months later, he was back from New Zealand to visit me… another six after that, he moved to London – and the rest is history!
Wedding at Suffolk Barn Photo Gallery
I always wanted a traditional country wedding. I come from a Suffolk farming family and am close to my parents, who generously hosted our day. Simon’s late father was a vicar, so the religious ceremony was important, and his mother did a beautiful reading from 1 Corinthians 13: ‘Love is patient, love is kind.’ It was essential that we incorporated Simon’s roots into our otherwise very English day.
A special moment was when his brothers did a Samoan dance to welcome me to the family, as well as the haka.’ MOST MEMORABLE MOMENT ‘At the ceremony, one of my best friends read a story she’d written about Simon and his journey across the world. The final line was:“when he was with her, he was no longer restless, he was home.”’
